The engine is the same one AgentVoice runs for hosted clients. A license changes where it runs, who holds the code and what you’re allowed to do with it. With a hosted setup, a change to the platform is a request you send us. With a license, it’s your team’s decision, made with or without our help.
- Your data stays with you. Records, transcripts and call recordings live in a database you own, in the region you choose, under your retention policy. None of it sits in shared tenancy.
- Integrations built for your systems. As part of the deployment we build against the CRM, phone system and internal tools you already run, so you aren’t picking from a fixed list.
- You can change the code. The source is yours to modify without waiting on our roadmap.
- An internal edition. It’s the same core engine, with public signup, subscription billing and self-serve upgrades replaced by staff account creation and internal administration.
How ownership works
You decide three things separately: who holds the code, who owns the hosting and whose provider accounts the agent runs on. The usual arrangement is that you own the accounts and we keep operating them.
Code
The repository sits in a GitHub organization you own. We’re added as a collaborator with write access, and you can remove that access at any time. If you’d rather manage everything in-house, we deliver the code once and hand it over.
Hosting
You create and own the cloud account, on Azure, AWS or your own servers. We hold admin access and make the architecture decisions, or your team runs the infrastructure itself. We can also host the deployment for a monthly management fee, and it moves into your account whenever you’re ready.
AI and telephony providers
Speech, language model and telephony services can come through our partner API, so you don’t need separate provider accounts. If you’d rather hold those accounts yourself, we configure them during deployment.
What the license costs
The license is a one-time fee. It covers the perpetual license, deployment, your branding, migration from any hosted setup and 90 days of adjustments after cutover, and it doesn’t expire or renew. Cloud and AI provider costs are billed directly at cost, with no markup, no per-minute platform fee and no per-seat charge. Integrations and custom development after that are billed as engineering time, hourly or on retainer.
Who the platform license fits
It suits teams that need call data inside their own infrastructure, want to change how their agents behave without filing a request with a vendor, or run enough call volume that per-minute platform fees start to add up. The license covers your own operations, including calls placed on behalf of your partner network. If you want to offer AI voice agents to other businesses under your own brand, that’s the commercial license. Which clouds can the engine run on?
Azure, AWS or your own servers. You create and own the account, and we deploy the AgentVoice engine into it.
Do we get the source code?
Yes. The code lives in a GitHub organization you own, and your team can change it without going through our roadmap. We stay on as a collaborator for as long as you want us there.
Can AgentVoice keep running it for us?
Yes. The common arrangement is that you own the accounts and we keep operating them. Integrations and custom development after the first 90 days are billed as engineering time, hourly or on retainer.
Can we start hosted and move later?
Yes. We can host your deployment for a monthly management fee while the license and source code stay with you. When you’re ready, we move it into your own cloud account.
Can we use it for calls that include health or financial data?
The license puts the engine, its database and its call recordings inside your own cloud account, so that data stays under the security controls, retention rules and provider agreements you already maintain. Your compliance team reviews the deployment the same way it reviews any other system you host.
What happens to an existing hosted AgentVoice account?
Your hosted subscription ends at cutover, and migration from the hosted setup is part of the license.
Can we sell it to our own clients?
Not under this license. It covers your own operations, including calls placed on behalf of your partner network. Offering AgentVoice to other businesses under your brand falls under the commercial license.
